The use of advanced orignial controller and sychronous Nand flash can greatly reduced boot time and application launch time. Additionally, the S70 promises consistent high performance for it features low power consumption, incredible cooling effect and shockproof function.
Selected sychronous Nand flash is used to support 3K P/E cycle that promises higher durability and longer life-span than other ordinary Nand flash with only 1~2.5K P/E cycle. In addition, the wear levevling technology can equalize the damage of all blocks and therefore effectively prolong the service life of a SSD. A bad block management (BBM) mechanism detects and marks bad blocks to avoid storage in those blocks and eliminate access errors. And, even if errors do occur in new blocks during an erase, this mechanism can move the data to other effective blocks to prevent data loss resulting from the failed erase.
The S70 is one of the lightest and thinnest SSD of its kind yet it is shock- and vibration-proof since it contains no moving parts. Furthermore, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring system and ECC technology are built to promise higher data transmission safety.
