The V80 960GB SATA III 6 Gb/s interface delivers impressively high speeds up to R/W 530/500 MB/s that enable fast contiguous processing of multiple files and applications, which is especially important for heavy workload like media editing. The use of selected sychronous Nand flash can support 3K P/E cycle that promises higher durability and longer life-span than other ordinary Nand flash with only 1~2.5K P/E cycle. And the wear levevling technology is able to equalize the damage of all blocks and therefore effectively prolong the service life of a SSD. Additionally, the V80 promises consistent high performance for it features low power consumption, incredible cooling effect and shockproof function.
A bad block management (BBM) mechanism detects and marks bad blocks to avoid storage in those blocks and eliminate access errors. And, even if errors do occur in new blocks during an erase, this mechanism can move the data to other effective blocks to prevent data loss resulting from the failed erase.
The V80 is one of the lightest and thinnest SSD of its kind yet it is shock- and vibration-proof since it contains no moving parts. Furthermore, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring system and ECC technology are built to promise higher data transmission safety.
The V80 features the ultra-slim 7mm enclosure that it can perfectly fit in laptops and ultrabooks with 7mm SATA bays. Moreover, the V80 comes with a 3.5" bracket for devices with 9.5mm bays. Users can make the upgrade according to the specifications of their computers.
