Silicon Power Wins Golden Pin Design Award For 8th Consecutive Year
Silicon Power Wins Golden Pin Design Award For 8th Consecutive Year

2020-09-30

Taipei, Taiwan – September 30th, 2020 – Silicon Power (SP) is proud to announce its 8th consecutive year win for the Golden Pin Design Award. Only three memory products have earned this award in 2020, and SP is honored to have claimed two of those spots. The recipients of this coveted award are the PC60 (portable SSD) and the Stream S07 (external hard drive).

About The Golden Pin Design Award

Founded in Taiwan in 1981, the annual Golden Pin Design Award has become the longest-running design award that celebrates products expressly created for the Chinese-speaking market. Participating individuals and companies are judged on their ability to innovate products within their respective industries. As the gauge for leading design in Chinese-speaking markets, the Golden Pin Design Award offers entrants an unprecedented opportunity to prove their prowess in the world’s largest market. It has become an influential signifier of quality in design.

PC60: Type-C USB 3.2 Gen 2 Portable SSD

At just 8cm in length and width and barely over 1cm height, the PC60 is one of our most portable-friendly SSDs, fitting comfortably in a hand or pocket. It features a polished frame with a unique rippled design, as well as a convenient keyhole for easy attachment to a keychain or bag. The shockproof design is backed by impressive specs: a future-proof Type-C output, speedy USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, generous 1.92TB capacity (maximum), and blazing fast read/write speeds (up to 540MB/s and 500MB/s, respectively).

Stream S07: External Hard Drive With Massive Space

With a design inspiration that stemmed from a Japanese Zen garden, the Stream S07 offers up to 8TB of capacity within the smallest aspect ratio in the industry. It can be placed horizontally or vertically to fit multiple spaces. The “crack” in the design, which carries the stone theme, keeps the HD running cool and lights up when processing data. On the inside, it’s equipped with a speedy USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, the ability to record TV shows and movies when connected to a compatible Smart TV, and an automatic sleep mode to save power and peace of mind.

Having won the Golden Pin Design Award for the 8th consecutive year from 2012-2020, SP has proven that it can continue to offer products that are innovative, unique, and functional, year after year.
