Taipei, Taiwan – May 30th, 2023 – Silicon Power (SP) is proud to announce that 2 of our products triumphed for outstanding product design by winning this year’s internationally-renowned iF Design Award. Our XPOWER Zenith RGB DDR5 and Cinema Pro PNV350 won over the 133-member jury made up of independent experts from all over the world.
About the iF Design Award
Held annually in Hanover, Germany, the iF Design Award was founded in 1954 by iF International Forum Design GmbH, the world’s oldest, independent design institution. A true authority for excellent design, the iF Design Award has become one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. Products are judged and honored across 9 disciplines: Product, Packaging, Communication, Interior Architecture, Professional Concept, Service Design, Architecture, UX (User Experience), and UI (User Interface). This year, nearly 11,000 entries from 56 countries bid for a chance to obtain this esteemed seal of quality.
XPOWER Zenith RGB DDR5
The XPOWER Zenith RGB DDR5 memory module breaks the stereotype of e-sports products with a unique heatsink design that strikes a harmonious balance between soft and rigid. The aluminum heatsink’s varied height, formed by wave crests and troughs, creates more heat dissipation space and transforms thermal conduction and air flow into wave-like emissions. Gamers can up their rigs with the arc-shaped light bar which makes the colorful RGB lighting effect resemble water waves. And, the concave area at the center of the heatsink, near the PMIC, provides reliably stable and uninterrupted gameplay while keeping its cool no matter how heated the competition gets.
Cinema Pro PNV350
The Cinema Pro PNV350 is a high-performance portable SSD for professional photographers and videographers with a design inspired by architectural concrete. Although its exterior appears simple, it is loaded with carefully chosen design details. It is fully made of CNC-machined aluminum to conduct heat to the shell quickly and maximize the heat-dissipating surface area. An IP67 dustproof and waterproof rating, as well as a 2m drop test, provide ultra protection for extreme conditions. A countersunk jack keeps the cable secure during shooting or recording, while the rectangular shape with straight edges utilizes less volume in camera bags.
