4 SP Products Grab The Red Dot Award In 2022
4 SP Products Grab The Red Dot Award In 2022

2022-03-29

Taipei, Taiwan – March 29th, 2022 – Silicon Power (SP) wins the coveted Red Dot Award for 4 innovative products in 2022: the Armor A66 portable hard drive, the XPOWER XS70 PCIe 4.0 SSD, and the soon-to-be-released Stream S05 portable hard drive and Cinema Pro PNV350 portable SSD.

About the Red Dot Award

Originating from Germany, the Red Dot Award has become one of the four major international design prizes in the world. It was founded in 1955 by the famous German design association, Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen. It attracts applicants from more than 60 countries every year through competitions on product design, communication design, and design concepts. Tens of thousands of works were submitted for a chance to win this prestigious award this year.

Armor A66: Tougher Than Tough

The Armor A66 is the ultimate all-terrain portable hard drive that’s rugged enough to shake-off drops, shocks, rain, and dust with ease. An all-around rubber bumper provides 360˚ protection on the outside while an advanced suspension system effectively reduces impact force and increases shock-absorption on the inside to keep data intact at all times. And, it even has a clever wrap-around cable design to prevent cable misplacement.

XPOWER XS70: Game at New Highs

Inspired by the gills of a shark, the XS70's unique heatsink design with carefully angled slits enables it to breathe during even the most intense gaming sessions. Heat easily ventilates out through the heatsink's gill-like slits to prevent overheating and maintain superior performance. The XS70 is not only as fierce as a shark on a performance level with PCIe 4.0 interface, but it can breathe like one too for longer and more stable gameplay!

Stream S05 (To Be Released This Year)

With rounded corners and sloped sides, the Stream S05 replicates a key on a keyboard. Its unique design mimics a keyboard’s function to type ideas and thoughts, and symbolizes how this portable hard drive is meant to become a personalized memory box for inputting data. The ergonomic design is easy to hold, while a matte finish provides protection from unsightly fingerprints and stains. Up to 5TB of capacity allows for imaginations to run wild with tons of storage space.

Cinema Pro PNV350 (To Be Released This Year)

Inspired by the simplicity, beauty, and durability of architectural concrete, the Cinema Pro PNV350 portable SSD is made of CNC-machined aluminum, which quickly conducts heat to the shell and maximizes the heat-dissipating surface area. Its rectangular shape with straight edges utilizes less volume, while an IP67 dustproof and waterproof rating and a 2m drop test pass provide ultra protection, making it the ideal choice for photographers who shoot in extreme weather conditions.
