To fill the gap between SLC and MLC/3D TLC solutions, SP Industrial offers pseudo-SLC (pSLC) Flash. It is an advanced variant of MLC/3D TLC that performs faster than MLC/3D TLC in terms of speed, program erase cycles, and overall reliability. Pseudo-SLC operates similar to SLC, but with fewer program erase cycles than SLC, making it a cost-effective alternative. SP Industrial's latest Industrial SSD with pSLC, the SSD550 series, is equipped with LDPC ECC and Block/Page RAID functions to guarantee 30,000 program erase cycles endurance with 3D NAND technology. It is well-suited for applications requiring high endurance. The SSD550 series features the latest Direct-To-TLC and SLC cache firmware architecture as well as external DRAM to achieve optimal sustained read and write performance. Besides overall endurance enhancement, write performance is enhanced by over 10%. The SSD550 series is equipped with an integrated industrial-grade Active PMU (power management unit) to provide higher reliability compared to traditional discrete circuits. It also offers complete protection with OVP, OCP, surge rejection, and input-output short protection to provide a higher level of protection than traditional fuse design.
