MT/s

  • # Memory

What is MT/s?

MT/s stands for Megatransfers per second. It measures the data transfer rate of memory modules, indicating how many millions of data transfers occur in one second.

Simply Put:

Think of MT/s as the speed of a conveyor belt in a high-tech factory. The faster the belt, the more packages (data) it delivers per second. Higher MT/s means a faster belt, efficiently moving more information to and from the CPU. Just like a speedy conveyor belt boosts factory output, higher MT/s improves system performance by making data readily available.
