Flash memory products manufacturer leading the way to RoHS compliance together with GCC 2007-05-11
Taipei, TAIWAN - 11 MAY, 2007 - With less than a year before the RoHS mandated deadline for compliance, Silicon Power, Inc., a Taiwan based manufacturer of flash memory products, taking a leadership role in the compliance effort by creating RoHS compliant equivalents for each of their parts, available now. Another plus point for Silicon Power on its caring to the environment is GCC certification.

By successfully completing the measures required for compliance, Silicon Power aggressively prepared itself to meet similar regulations worldwide, that is GCC as referred. GCC (Green Component Certificate) is the GC-001 certification standard that certifies the compliance with the GC-002 Plant Inspection Operation Standards. Silicon Power has obtained GCC certified label after the severe plant inspecting process.

RoHS calls for the restriction of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment sold into the European market. And GCC is a environmental standard that's been gradually recognized by international society implemented by Taiwan's TEEMA ( E/E Manufacturing Association) Both RoHS and GCC represent Silicon Power's caring to the environment we live in and safeguard your product safety.
